Welcome to Troop 3143

At Troop 3143, we create leaders. Our troop provides a program for young people that build character, train them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness.

We are very active in the outdoors and in the community. We camp monthly, including a full week of summer camp and some of the older scouts will have the opportunity to backpack for two weeks in New Mexico. Our camps are filled with fun and activities including rafting, skiing, hiking are a few to name.

Thomas' Eagle Project - Tomorrow and Monday

Posted on Jun 22 2024 - 4:06pm

This is just a reminder that eagle project workday is tomorrow and Monday (see work locations below). We are starting early to avoid the heat.  I need people to sign up on Signup Genius so I know how many are going to show up and can plan for that many people. I would like 10 volunteers for tomorrow and 6 per 2 hour shift on Monday. Also for tomorrow, you do not have to stay for that full time, but if you are coming you need to sign up.

No meeting Thursday

Posted on Jun 10 2024 - 11:18pm

No troop meetings until July 11th. Enjoy the summer break.

Summer Camp Updates

Posted on May 7 2024 - 1:35am

Scouts and Adults attending summer camp are required to have a current medical form (part C requires a physician signature). These forms are now due so please bring them to the meeting Thursday. If you have not paid the full amount of $400 for summer camp, please bring payment Thursday. Our final payment is due next week to the camp.

Book Upates

Posted on May 7 2024 - 1:35am

Scouts (and parents), once requirements have been signed off as completed in your book, be sure to have them recorded in Troop Master. This can be done during the meeting with Mr. Peru (Jagan's dad) or with Cyndi Rifkin. If Troop Master is not updated, we will not know when you are ready for a scoutmaster conference or board of review.

Scoutland Camping Trip - 5/3-5/5 Registration ends Thursday.

If you want to be a cook at this campout, send an email to trevorrifkin@comcast.net by April 25th.
