Welcome to Troop 3143

At Troop 3143, we create leaders. Our troop provides a program for young people that build character, train them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness.

We are very active in the outdoors and in the community. We camp monthly, including a full week of summer camp and some of the older scouts will have the opportunity to backpack for two weeks in New Mexico. Our camps are filled with fun and activities including rafting, skiing, hiking are a few to name.

Parents and Scouts, please plan to attend our Court of Honor and holiday gift exchange Thursday. It is important that we begin on time at 7:00 pm to conclude by 8:30 pm.

Scouting America Annual Registration and Troop Dues for 2026

It's time to renew your membership with Scouting America. Most of you should have received an email from Scouting America letting you know your membership will expire on 12/31/25. If you joined the troop in the past two years, your membership will renew the same month you joined but troop dues are still due at this time. You have the option to click the link in the email to renew your membership, or you can pay the troop, and we will process your renewal. In addition to the Scouting America fee, the annual troop dues for 2026 will be $100 and are to be paid to the troop.

Donations for Veterans

Bring donations of pajama bottoms, t-shirts and slippers to the meeting Thursday. They will be distributed by the American Legion during the holidays to Veterans in the hospital. All sizes for men and women are needed.

If you are a Life Scout and plan to attend the Life to Eagle seminar this Thursday (12/4), please note the location is the GYM at Alpharetta Presbyterian Church. Walk up the hill and enter through the doors up on top of the hill by the theater.

Out of the Way Community Corp has asked if the Troop is able to help provide Thanksgiving baskets again this year. Our goal is $500 to provide baskets for 20 families. If you prefer to bring cash or items, Thursday is the last date.

December Camping Trip 12/5-12/7 - Registration ends Thursday

Troop 3143 is planning to attend an Orienteering event at Bert Adams the weekend of 12/5-12/7/25. This is a council event and will be $50 per scout. The deadline to register is 11/20/25. We will be camping in Adventure Tents at Bert Adams Scout Camp.
